My niece’s husband loves to cook and he is the chief chef in their busy household of 5. We normally spend Christmas Day at their house and Corey has his famous homemade meatballs in the oven, spaghetti boiling away, sauce bubbling on the stove and garlic bread toasting under the broiler. The perfect holiday meal for a big crowd.
I fell in love with these awesome Italian meatballs so much that I begged for the recipe. Corey happily shared it with me and I’ve made these meatballs for dinner parties, special occasions and just for our weeknight dinners ever since.
I’m sharing this recipe for homemade meatballs with you but I’m warning you….they are out of this world and addictive!
Corey’s Homemade Meatballs
1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1/2 cup Italian style bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (you can use either the kind from the can or freshly grated)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Mix all ingredients together by hand in a large mixing bowl. When all is combined roll into meatballs in whatever size you desire. I make large meatballs and normally get about 20 to 24. You can make as many as you need. And freeze any meatballs you have left over so you can use them when you’re expecting guests or whenever the craving hits you!
Place meatballs on a rimmed baking sheet sprayed with cooking oil. Bake at 350 F for one hour. Your house will smell so wonderful – like an Italian restaurant! These are absolutely the best meatballs I’ve ever eaten. I’m certain you will love them too!
